Bio

Patty is an experienced mathematics education leader with over 20 years of service in the New York City public school system, specializing in K-Algebra instruction. She brings deep expertise in instructional coaching and teacher development, supporting educators through strengths-based, in-the-moment coaching, instructional modeling, and reflective inquiry to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning.

She designs and facilitates professional learning for teachers, school leaders, and families. Her sessions include The Rocky Road to AlgebraMath: The Visual Connection, and Launching Math Tasks to Prioritize Sensemaking. She has presented at New York City’s District 31 Algebra for All launch, the College of Staten Island’s Math Connections Conference, and has coached at the University of Delaware for the past seven years.

Patty holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on mathematics, as well as a Master’s degree in Special Education. She is committed to advancing equitable mathematics instruction and ensuring all students have access to rigorous, grade-level content. At SSC, she partners with educators to cultivate student-centered classrooms where learners think deeply, engage in meaningful discourse, and take ownership of their mathematical understanding.
