Bio
Erin McArthur is a School Success Specialist in Literacy at the School Success Center with over 13 years of experience transforming literacy outcomes. Before joining the Center in 2020, Erin spent seven years in the classroom teaching second and third grade, where she also served as an ELA Curriculum Lead for Bookworms (K–5). Erin’s expertise is further backed by an M.Ed. in Literacy from the University of Delaware and her previous work as a curriculum writer for Bookworms First Edition alongside Sharon Walpole and her most recent writing team.
A specialist in evidence-based instruction, Erin now supports schools across Delaware and the country in implementing high-quality literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading. She works closely with educators to cultivate lifelong habits of learning, empowering them to continuously refine their craft. Her approach is deeply collaborative, partnering with teachers through meaningful lesson internalization and reflective practice to ensure instruction is both intentional and effective. Erin is honored to partner with fellow specialists to foster sustainable, impactful literacy achievement nationwide.
