Before joining PDCE, Sara worked as a high school ELA teacher and instructional coach for seven years. Her experiences with diverse student populations and her love of literature and literacy foster a desire to create high-quality curriculum and rich ELA instruction for all students. Sara has designed and facilitated professional learning in student engagement, lesson planning, writing, vertical articulation, vocabulary instruction, the CCSS, and evidence-based literacy practices. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in English as well as in teaching. She is pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Delaware.
