Kim Wheedleton has taught public school in grades K-8 for over 9 years as a classroom teacher, substitute, and long-term substitute, with extensive experience in grades 1-3. As a teacher and as a literacy coach, Kim’s focus is on tapping into and supporting the student’s potential to learn, to grow, and to succeed. She believes students reach their fullest educational and developmental potential when everyone–teachers, parents, students, instructional coaches, and administrators–work together at all levels toward common goals.

At the School Success Center as Assistant Director for Literacy, Kim leads her team in the implementation of research-based literacy practices, to most effectively meet the diverse needs of students.
