Tammy Steele was an elementary teacher for eight years and a K-5 reading specialist/literacy coach for 18 years in southern Delaware. During the last three years, Tammy’s teaching, professional development presentations and coaching have centered around Bookworms Reading and a variety of research-based literacy practices.  She believes in Bookworms Reading as she has witnessed first hand the growth in literacy development of the students she has worked with. Currently, Tammy is part of a team working to enhance Bookworms and develop a writing component, which will lead to the creation of Bookworms Reading and Writing.  She is continuing to provide professional development and coaching for Bookworms Reading.
