Prior to joining the School Success Center, Maria was a Delaware Charter School teacher and a member of the math committee. As a classroom teacher, she worked and collaborated with teachers in bringing math problem-based approaches into the classroom. She has taught both primary, and intermediate elementary in public and private school settings. As a member of the math committee, she assisted with bringing math practice content and language routines into the classroom that assisted in developing and enhancing student skills. Maria joined the SSC to pursue her interest in supporting teachers through professional development and coaching to improve mathematics instruction for all Delaware teachers.
