Amy brings more than 30 years of teaching experience to the SSC, with deep expertise in early learning and elementary education. She holds a Maryland State Advanced Professional Certificate and a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and is certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education.​ Amy is currently pursuing her EdD in Organizational Improvement for Educational Leaders.  

As an instructional coach, Amy is passionate about partnering with primary-grade teachers to strengthen mathematics instruction and improve outcomes for young learners. She believes that even our youngest students can and should be masters of their own learning, and she focuses her coaching on building strong professional relationships that support responsive, intentional teaching.
