Before joining SSC, Mary was a secondary education ELA teacher for twelve years. Her experience working in classrooms and serving in various leadership roles helped her grow a passion for making instructional decisions that promote equity in learning. She has her Master’s in Educational Leadership and expertise in serving students with specialized educational needs. At SSC, she aims to build strong partnerships with teachers, leveraging their strengths while also building their capacity to serve students with diverse needs using evidence-based strategies so that students become more proficient and confident in literacy.
