Before joining the elementary math team at the SSC, Sarah spent 19 years teaching in Cecil County, Maryland. In her tenure in Cecil County, Sarah served as a mentor to college students, and wrote curriculum and assessments to align with newly adopted standards.

Becoming an instructional leader within her school community inspired Sarah to continue her development as a mathematics education leader with the SSC, supporting elementary administrators, teachers, and children. Sarah has presented at regional and national conferences on a variety of topics, including her work implementing the Math Lab coaching model with school partners.
