Bio
Ashlee Miller is a School Support Specialist in Literacy supporting school districts in Delaware and across the county with language and literacy development initiatives. She also serves the Chester County Intermediate Unit in Chester County, Pennsylvania, as an English as a Second Language certification instructor and content-area expert. Her educational background includes a B.S. in Education, M.S. in Education, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, 7-12 English Certification, K-12 ESL Program Specialist Certification, and K-12 Principal Certification. She is pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Delaware.
Before joining the University of Delaware, Ashlee served as an English Language Development District Coordinator and an English Language Development teacher for over ten years. In this role, she provided district-level professional learning to support the administration and content area teachers in effective instruction and assessment of multilingual learners, including systems and program evaluation. She also served as a school administrator and has experience in urban, suburban and rural school districts supporting underrepresented student populations.
At the SSC, Ashlee designs and facilitates professional learning and instructional coaching opportunities to support evidence-based language and literacy practices and the implementation of high-quality instructional materials to promote equitable access and student achievement.
