Professional Learning Series for Aspiring School Leaders
What do you bring to the table as a leader?
How can I leverage my leadership strengths to improve teaching in my school?
How can I lead without the title?
What is being a principal really like?
The University of Delaware’s School Success Center is offering ASPIRE, a virtual professional learning series, designed to help aspiring school leaders build on essential leadership skills needed to foster improvement in teaching. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
ASPIRE, a dynamic state-wide leadership learning series designed by the Delaware Academy for School Leadership, is tailored for educators eager to step into school leadership roles. ASPIRE brings together passionate educators from across Delaware, fostering a learning community where participants build lasting professional relationships and sharpen their leadership skills through meaningful personal growth. If you’re ready to take your leadership journey to the next level, ASPIRE is your next right step!
The ASPIRE virtual learning series engages participants in a variety of activities and reflections to build the leadership skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully lead schools. Research shows that people thrive when they focus on their strengths. By identifying their natural talents and developing them, individuals become more productive, engaged, and effective. To bridge theory and practice, ASPIRE participants complete follow-up activities after each session to deepen their learning. By the end of the program, each participant will have created a personalized action plan for their leadership development. ASPIRE is designed for educators interested in exploring or transitioning into school-level leadership roles. It is open to aspiring education leaders, whether certified or not, and is ideal for educators committed to their personal growth and development.
Participants who complete the ASPIRE virtual learning series will:
- Develop self-awareness as a leader by reflecting on how they can leverage their leadership strengths to transition into a new leadership role.
- Practice their leadership skills and use tools for building and leading effective teams, bringing out the best in others, giving and receiving feedback for professional growth, and preparing for and leading courageous conversations.
- Join a virtual learning community and develop professional relationships to strengthen their leadership network and develop their leadership competencies through personal growth.
