Before joining the elementary math team at the SSC, Sarah spent 19 years teaching in Cecil County, Maryland. In her tenure in Cecil County, Sarah served as a mentor to college students, wrote curriculum and assessments to align with newly adopted standards, and served as an instructional leader to advance local and state initiatives. Her participation in Maryland’s Educator Effectiveness Academy and in the Superintendent’s Teaching and Learning Council inspired Sarah to continue her development as a mathematics education leader, supporting elementary administrators, teachers, and children.
